Obesity is a topic that is no stranger to Americans and is something that has sky rocketed within the United States. In the past year obesity has increased from the previous decade to a whopping 39.6 percent. According to the National Health and Nutrition Survey over 100 million people in the United States are obese, 41.1 percent being women and 37.9 percent men. This may not come as a surprise, but while the obesity rate in America increases so do junk-food sales. The convenience of these fast food restaurants seem to outweigh the health consequences for many people. Granted, I have fallen victim to the golden arches and sometimes you just have to have that hot greasy burger but the key word for these restaurants is SOMETIMES.
